Electronic Waste Drive and Shred Event - Electronics Recycle Event
ACE Recycling is proud to partner with Rev Residential Brokerage for an electronic waste and shredding event.  The event will be at 4700 S. Mill Ave, Tempe, AZ 85282, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 22nd.

This event is an excellent opportunity to clean out those old electronics taking up space in your house. In addition to cleaning out your electronics, you can bring unlimited boxes of paper to be shredded on-site in partnership with Shred-It. All items will be processed in an environmentally responsible way.

Join the Circular Economy

Electronic Waste Drive

As always, your electronic waste will be processed securely and responsibly.  All electronic data will be processed by ACE Recycling using the Nation Institute of Standards and Technology’s recommended data erasure standards.  From there, ACE Recycling works to keep working materials in circulation.  Working in a circular waste model means repairing and upgrading electronics allows ACE Recycling to provide our community with affordable technology.  Electronics that are unable to be repaired or upgraded are recycled.  Our partners then extract the raw materials from those components.  Using recycled raw materials to create new devices reduces the need to pull more from the Earth.  For a complete list of accepted electronics, please visit our website.

Preparing your Electronic Equipment for Recycling

Paper Shredding

Rest assured, your shredded documents will also be part of the circular economy. Shred-It supports the circular waste model as well. Their website states, “Once documents are securely shredded, Shred-it sends the confetti-sized pieces for recycling. This shows that environmental responsibility and document security can go hand-in-hand. Every ton of recycled paper can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, 4000 KWs of energy, and 7,000 gallons of water.”  Not sure which documents to shred and which to keep? Forbes outlines how long you should keep certain documents. The general rule of thumb is to keep documents for a year, except for tax information, which you should be keep for seven years.

Earth Day Partner Sally Martinez

Rev Residential Founder Sally Martinez, “When I started Rev Residential, I wanted to make sure that as a company we give back to the community somehow, as a sign of gratitude for business that is brought to us.  Plus, I am passionate about contributing to a cleaner environment in any way I can.  I decided that I could merge those two passions and goals by sponsoring a bi-annual shred event.  We hold one event in April around Earth Day and the other in October.  Jose Rodriguez, business development manager at Old Republic Title—Biltmore, and Jake Connors, Broker, Goosehead Insurance, collaborate with us.  Between the three entities, we cover the cost of shredding and now e-waste recycling for FREE to anyone that shows up.”

Partnering for Planet and Community

As a small, family-run, locally owned business, ACE Recycling believes in fostering relationships with our community and other small businesses within that community.  We are proud to work with other companies that uphold our values.  We are lucky to have the opportunity to work with Rev Residential, Shred-it, Jake Connors at Goosehead Insurance, and Jose Rodriguez at Old Republic Title-Biltmore to benefit the community and the environment.  As a former educator, I genuinely believe you can take the educator out of the classroom, but you cannot take the compassion and commitment to service out of their heart.  This collaboration is a testament to that.
